Origin : Bohemia – around Steinschönau (now Kamenický Šenov)
Bowl Features : Stylised fruit. leaves and cornucopia – enamelled in black and blue. with gilt embellishment to rim and foot
Marks : marked to base FS within a circle – Steinschönau FachSchule or similar
Type : Footed bowl
Size : 11.8 cm height. 17.4 cm diameter
Condition : Excellent; enamelling is virtually complete; one or two minor inclusions and a tiny incised manufacturing nick to the underside of the bowl; wear to the foot rim
Restoration : None
Weight : 704 grams
Additional Information : This region played host to many of the leading lights of Bohemian glass manufacturing around the Fin de Siecle – Oertel. Beckert. Haida. Steinschönau themselves. all of whom produced examples of this ‘Schwarzlotdekor’ material
