The Verrie d’ Art Lorraine was a brand of Daum set up by Paul Daum and Pierre D’Avesn at the Belle Etoile glassworks located in Croismare.
The VAL mark was only used for those pieces produced for Val E & Compagnie the owner of Paris retailer Ancienne Maison Effler. The ‘D’Argyll’ range of cameo glass was also produced at the same factory for the same Paris outlet from 1928. One factory producing “own brand” cameo glass for others.
