The retailer Ovingtons were based in New York at 39th Street at the S.E corner of 5th Avenue. Charles Schneider designed a number of pieces for international retailers during the 1920s and 1930s. After the First World War the Verrerie Schneider released Le Verre Francais range which catapulted the glassworks from being a barely functioning factory to being one of the most successful art glass producers in the world.
