Additional Information : The decorative technique was devised by Karl Wiedman. This method of producing an iridescent finish required metal salts being applied to the surface of the glass before the oxides were burned off at high temperatures. The method went into production with WMF in 1926
We know this looks like a schooner glass for sherry and it could easily be used as such however this was intended to be used for decorative purposes. The iridescent colours are superb
