Description
A Georgian Single Series Opque Twist Wine glass c1760 which has a waisted bucket bowl with a solid section at the base of the bowl. The stem is single series opaque twist consisting of a pair of spiral gauzes. Conical foot with snapped pontil.
English lead. no chips or cracks. it has a pin prick on the rim (very small) and measures 6 1/8 inches tall with a 2 inch bowl and 2 ½ inch foot.
The foot has had a polish at some time in the past. however it has been well done and is only noticeable to the experienced eye. To be frank it is the type of restoration that most dealers and almost all auction houses would either not notice or would not mention.
