This glass wine funnel is directly analagous to Gorge III- George IV silver wine funnels. Silver examples have silver strainers, glass examples would be lined with muslin to catch sediment. The bend in the stem forces wine onto the inside of the decanter and the larger surface area promotes aeration of wine.
