Heading : Brass bound writing slope from the mid 19th century

Decoration : Brass bound with vacant brass cartouche. Inteiror lined with green velvet – two inkwells included – pen tray and cavity below the slope which lifts up. There is a prop to hold the slope ajar and a book rest, stored internally, such that it may be used as a reading slope. Full width tray released by removing a pin. There is a secret compartment beneath the pen tray with three drawers. To access the compartment use the pin for the tray to press the holein the base of the pen tray.
Size : 50.7cm x 27.8cm, 18.6cm height
Condition : Knocks and scratches throughout though none of any structural significance.. All keys present and working locks
Restoration : The slope has been recovered
