Heading : Charles Horner pendant necklace – Chester 1911

Description :  Central oval enamel in purple, green, and white. Suspended from circular enamel in the same colours, as is the enamel drop. Tendril silver design. Fully marked for Horner, Chester, 1911 on the reverse.

Size :  Measuring approximately 6 cms. long including the suspender and the drop. The necklace chain has a length of a fraction over 46 cms

Weight : 5 grams

This is in the colours of the suffragette flag and suffragette jewellery was popular. However we have found no evidence that Horner was a supporter of the cause, nor that he produced jewellery to support it. But as a businessman we are sure that he would have exploited the opportunity.
