Decoration : A Teutonic-Nordic maiden surrounded by horse chestnuts

Condition : The fold on the rim has been distorted in a small section. This is only appreciable from the non-display side or when viewed rim side on

Should this not be 'Norse chestnuts'? This could be considered to be a Germanic equivalent of a pears soap poster. Horse chestnuts were used in some Balkan cultures to make soap, we do not know if this knowledge reached Germany but in rural North England conkers were known as "Viking Soaps".
