Origin : Shropshire. England
Colour : Underglaze cobalt blue
Pattern : Rock Strata Island (E40)
Features : Uncommon Caughley teabowl and saucer and a matching coffee cup. decorated with the uncommon rock strata island pattern. This pattern was also used at Worcester and Lowestoft.
Size : Teabowl 4.7cm tall by 8.5cm in diameter. Coffee cup 6.8cm tall by 8.1cm in diameter including the handle. Saucer 12.4cm in diameter
Condition : No damage to the teabowl or saucer. chip to the inside rim of the coffee cup from manufacture and a pin head chip to the foot
Restoration : None
Weight : 180 grams combined
Reference : For a coffee cup in this pattern within the Victoria and Albert museum
