Additional Information : As this is reproduced on laid paper, it is likely to have been taken from the volume The New and Complete English Traveller: or, a New Historical Survey and Modern description of England and Wales which was published by Hogg under the pseudonym William Hugh Dalton. This was a revised and updated version of a 1784 original - containing Conder's engravings - which was entitled New British Traveller: or a Complete Modern Universal Display of Great Britain and Ireland and which was published under another Hogg pseudonym, George Augustus Walpoole.
