of Art Deco archirecture is one way to describe the period, the decorative arts
and interior design are two other related dimensions.
The impact of the Art Deco period scluptors Bruno Zach, Josef Lorenzl,
Demetre Chiparus and Ferdinand Preis was just as towering when expressed in
bronze and ivory as anything constructed in steel, glass and concrete. Whereas the design
