Most of the attributes of the 18th century original, colour, pucella marks in the bowl and fire polished rim, snapped pontil. However there are no inclusions within the glass and the stem has no marver board lines. The twist is also seen on multiple 20th century examples. The Antique English Glass Company, Hill Ousten and others made glasses in 18th century styles to fulfil demand from collectors. Jacobite wine glasses were made with the full symbolic package and artificial wear was applied. They have fooled Will Farmer at Fieldings Auctioneers and many others. Watch this space and the press.

At less than half the price of the 18th century original with good reason. A glass to be used and enjoyed and a genuine antique.
