If you already have the wine glasses. the decanters . coasters and silver labels this will complete the picture. Muslin would have been placed inside the bowl to remove sediment from wine and port whilst being decanted. The curved spout ensures that wine runs down the inside of a decanter. increasing surface area and aerating the wine. Low tech old tech but beautiful and functional.
