Description
A superb Georgian Lacemakers Lamp from c1750.
A tall example with the globe at the top which would originally have held the wick and oil with a small metal protective cover on the rim to protect the glass from the heat. Drip tray below with a handle to one side with a thumb grip. Hollow multi knop stem on a huge conical folded foot which has a snapped pontil. No chips cracks or restoration. It measures 10 inches tall with a 5 5/8th inch foot.
