Heading : 18th Century Spanish or Catalan Cantir
Date : Second half 18th century
Origin : Probably Catalonia certainly within Spain
Colour : Grey hue in the body. Pale blue ribbed “cockscombs”
Body : Free blown pear shape. Incised twist applied ring handle with bird finial. Applied and tooled pale blue cockscombs on the flanks. Thick rim on filling spout and tapered drinking spout.
Base : Applied conical foot with high kick and pontil scar
Glass Type : Soda . lead free
Size : Height 28cms
Condition : Excellent. A little clouding in the base. No cork
Restoration : None
Weight : 587 grams
