Description
A superb pair of Georgian magnum decanters and five matching tumblers which date to c1800.
They easily hold 2 full bottles of wine/champagne/claret which makes them Magnums. The have their original gold gilded ball stoppers with facet and slice cutting to the neck and slice cutting to the main body. They are beautifully decorated in gold leaves and grasses with snapped pontils on the polished bases. The decanters come with a set of five matching tumblers of the same period and design.
The decanters measure 12 inches tall which includes the stoppers and the tumblers are 3 ½ inches tall.
Probably German in origin. they have no chips cracks or restoration and are clean and clear.
Certainly the best set we have had in the last 10 years and outstanding quality.
