The broad rim is indicative of this being an early 19th century example rather than late 18th century. The absence of moulded finger flutes around the base is good early indicator associated with late 18th century examples. The radial fluted target stopper is a slightly later variant of the pinched target stopper and is observed on decanters made from the mid 1790s to around 1820.

This is a most elegant example with good clean lines
