SOLD – Georgian Glass Lidded Sugar Box or Sweetmeat c1810

Description

A spectacular Georgian Sugar box c1810 with its original lid which has an array or facet. prism and cross cut diamonds with large fans at either end. Sits on a slice cut stem above a conical notch and facet cut foot.

This piece is a real show stopper and one of the finest examples we have had. It measures 6 ¾ inches tall. 6 inches long and 4 ¼ inches wide. No chips cracks or restoration. We have said it is a sugar box however it could be used for butter. sweetmeats or candied fruits.
