Intaglio cut with flowers and thistles. The handle operates a simple oscillating cam to open the lid
Marks : Silver hallmarked for Heath and Middleton Birmingham 1898
Type : Sterling silver and lead glass
Size : 19cms tall to top of the handle

Additional Information : We admire the logic behind the patented mechanism to open the lid. The handle would only be used for carrying the biscuit barrel and would need to be moved out of the way for ease of access to the contents. An oscillating cam is a proper engineering solution.
