SOLD – Georgian Facet Cut Dry Sweetmeat c1770

Description

A superb 18th century facet cut dry sweetmeat glass with a thick stem. It has a flared ovoid bowl with a scallop cut rim. The mid-section has a band of petal cuts above slice cuts than continue down the stem to the central knop. Further slice cuts below the knop. Conical foot. snapped pontil. The glass has excellent colour. English lad. no chips. cracks or restoration it is in superlative condition. Weight 500g

It measures 7 inches tall with a 3 ½ inch bowl and 3 3/8 inch foot.
