A toddy lifter was used to transfer fluid from a Punch Bowl or large Serving Rummer to the glass. You place the lifter into the punch bowl and allow the fluid to fill the lifter from the hold in the base. You then place your finger over the hole at the top which holds the fluid in place. transfer to above the glass and release…simple and effective with Toddy Lifters being used in place of a ladle.
