The last time we recall seeing a glass with such a pronounced tapered stem it had been made for the Glasgow based Hodge Podge club whose glasses were made in London.
The firing foot strongly indicates that this was made for a club or society where frequent toasting would be undertaken. Lily of the valley has well known and documented Jacobite connections. The possibility that this was made for a Jacobite society cannot be underestimated
