Description
This is a superb Dutch or German Roemer ( the origin of the word “rummer”) green metal with an ovoid bowl that extends down into a hollow cylindrical stem with applied raspberry prunts below an applied milled band with a trailed foot. The trailing on the foot actually continues onto the base of the bowl. Snapped pontil. Look at a few Dutch masters still life paintings and you will find a Roemer of this form.
