The absence of a Lowen mark of the pontil always presents difficulties. Many glass manufactories produced very similar styles in the 18th century. Altmunder . Gifhorn and others including Lauenstein.
There was also an ongoing demand for replacements into the late 19th century. Our sincere thanks to Reiner for his research and safe return.
