Origin : Possibly Potsdam or Brandenburg. probably Northern Bohemia
Colour : Clear
Bowl : Funnel. Engraved with a man carrying a hunting spear. palm trees and manorial house.
Stem : Double blade collar. Three flattened ball knops with a single blade above and double blade knop below
Foot : Conical and folded
Pontil : Snapped
Glass Type : Soda lime
Size : Height 20.0cms. bowl 8.0cms. foot 10.0cms
Condition : Excellent
Restoration : None
Weight : 200g
We have been unable to interpret the engraving. It may simply be decorative. Palm trees are significant within early European Masonry. Huntsman are a frequently used devices within allegory.
