SOLD- German Enameled Colour Twist Wine Glass c1760

Description

An 18th century German enameled colour twist wine glass c1760. This has a crack in the bowl but it is a very pretty glass. The round funnel bowl has been decorated with an orange. red and mauve flowers with white enamled foliage in a continuous band. The stem has a solid corkscrew tape around a central red core. Conical folded foot. The glass has been bruised at some point and this has also resulted in a 1 1/4 inch vertical crack in the bowl. This is such a decorative and unusual item it cannot be dismissed.

It measures 6 5/16 inches tall with a 2 1/8 inch bowl and 2 ¾ inch foot.
