Additional Information : You will notice from the images that the bowl has a cavity at the base which continues down into the top of the ball knop. When you fill the glass the cavity fills as well. however the cavity remains filled as the contents are drunk. It needs to be given a little shake to release the liquid retained in the cavity at which point it drips out quickly and potentially down your shirt if you’re not careful.  In the literature this form is described as a trick glass and it is identical in form to one we sold more than four years ago and only the 3rd example we have had during thirteen years. It is more likely in our estimation that the cavity was simply intended to trap sediment in champagne or wines.
