SOLD – Continental Air Twist Wine c1760

Description

This is a stunning continental air twist glass. The twist is particularly fine and very well executed. The metal is very smokey. this will be due to either doping the glass with manganese to give it the appearance of lead glass or possibly coal being used to heat the glass. or both. It has a drawn flared trumpet bowl and is two piece construction with a conical foot.  It stands 7 inches tall with a 3 inch bowl and a 3 1/4 inch foot with snapped pontil. No chips. cracks or restoration.
