Description
Georgian Air Twist Wine Glass c1750
A very well proportioned glass with a generous bowl for a Georgian wine glass akin in size to a modern wine glass. The air twist is extremely fine in every sense. The threads of air are thin. finely separated and they maintain their even spacing throughout the entire stem. This took a great deal of skill. Conical foot. snapped pontil. Excellent tooling marks in the bowl.
It stands a good 6 3/4 inches tall with a 2 11/16ths bowl and a 3 1/8th foot. English lead. No chips. cracks or restoration
