Description
An excellent Georgian air twist wine Glass c1750 with a rare waisted bucket bowl above a multi spiral air twist stem and swelling shoulder knop. Conical foot. snapped pontil.
English lead glass. no chips cracks or restoration. the glass measures 5 7/8 inches tall with a 2 1/8 inch bowl and 2 11/16 inch foot. It has a small air bubble on the side of the foot as shown. It is only mentioned for accuracy and is so small you can barely see it with the naked eye. This is not a defect it is a feature of period manufacture. small air bubbles in the glass are typically formed by dissolved carbon dioxide coming out of solution as the glass cools.
