Description
This is an exceptional glass of a very rare form.
A Georgian Air Twist Bucket Top Round Funnel wine glass c1750 above a knopped multi spiral air twist stem on a conical foot with a snapped pontil.
This is the very first example of this form we have had in over 12 years and the ONLY other documented example known to us is in L.M. Bicketon Eighteenth Century English Drinking Glasses on page 167 plate 458 (we have included an image from this tome).
English lead. no chips or cracks. or restoration. the glass measures 5 5 /8 inches tall with a 2 ¼ inch bowl and 2 ½ inch foot.
