Description
A magnificent Georgian Mercury Twist Wine Glass c1750.
It has a conical drawn bowl and a single series mercury twist stem consisting or a pair of corkscrews. Conical foot with snapped pontil. This is a bold example of a mercury twist and the “silvered” appearance of the stem is very intense.
English lead. no chips cracks or restoration. it measures 6 5/8 inches tall with a 2 3/8 inch bowl and 2 7/8 inch foot.
