This glass dispells the myth about the relative diameters of bowls and feet. It was Eric Knowles. who is a very nice chap and “man of the people”. who explained on the BBC that the diameter of the foot on a good Georgian glass was always greater than the bowl. This is a good rule of thumb. but no more than that
