SOLD – Georgian Vermicular Collar Engraved Air Twist c1750

Description

A beautiful Georgian air twist wine glass c1750 which has a pointed round funnel bowl engraved with a beautiful stylised rose and leaves. Sits on a multi spiral air twist stem with a central applied vermicular collar. Conical foot. snapped pontil. This is wthout any doubt of Jacobite sympathy. of which we have had many examples.

English lead glass. no chips cracks or restoration. the glass measures 6 ½ inches tall with a 2 3/16 inch bowl and 2 11/16 inch foot.
