Description
We have a magnificent Georgian Mercury Air Twist cordial Glass which dates to 1750.
It has a Cordial Round Funnel Bowl with flute moulding down the sides and a solid section at the base. A superb stem consisting of 4 thick mercury air twist spirals outside a loose vertical mercury air twist column. Conical foot with rough snapped pontil.
English lead. no chips. cracks. restoration and clean and clear. It measures 6 ½ inches tall with a really small 1 ¾ inch bowl with a 2 ¾ inch foot.
A superb true cordial with an unusual mercury air twist combination with the outer spirals reflecting off the central column to give a magnificent light show.
