SOLD – Georgian Mercury Twist Wine Glass c1750

Description

An excellent example of a Georgian mercury twist wine glass c1750 with a round funnel bowl. The stem features a pair of mercury corkscrews above a conical foot with snapped pontil.

English lead. it has a single very minor nick to the underside of the foot as shown and some light scratching to the bowl. It is a superb example in good original condition

It measures 5 5/8 inches tall with a 2 inch bowl and 2 ½ inch foot.
