SOLD-Georgian Four Knop Multi Spiral Air Twist Wine Glass c1750

Description

This is an exceptional and very rare Georgian Air Twist Wine Glass which dates to 1750.

It has a round funnel bowl above a Multi Spiral Air Twist Stem which has 4 swelling knops above a conical foot.

English lead. no chips or cracks. it measures 6 ¼ inches tall with a 2 1/16 inch bowl and 2 9/16 inch foot.

A four knop air twist is not a glass you will see every day and a perfect example will normally cost £2000-£2500…when you can find one. This example had a small chip to the bowl which we decided to have removed to bring the glass back to life. It has been done professionally and you will not be able to see or detect where it has been done.
