Those with incurved bowls are often referred to as mead glasses despite their form being that of  Roemer glass from Northern Europe. This is a rare variant with a round funnel bowl it was most probably intended for sparkling or still Rheinsh wines. This is discussed at length within the reference The Golden Age of English Glass - D Lanmon.
