Description
An 18th century composite stem wine glass in superb condition c1755. It has a flared drawn trumpet bowl above a plain stem section and inverted baluster knop containing a multi series air twist that continues down the lower stem. Conical foot. snapped pontil. The foot does contain two air bubbles but this does not detract from the glass in any way. it is an expected feature of period production.
English lead. no chips. cracks or restoration it measures 6 /916 inches tall with a 2 ¾ inch bowl and 2 7/8 inch foot.
