Description
A fine large Georgian Facet Cut Goblet fourth quarter 18th century
One of the largest of its kind we have had. the bowl has slice cuts to the upper section that adjoin hexagonal facet cuts that are graduated in size on the lower bowl. The hexagonal facet cut stem is above a plain foot with a polished pontil. The bowl has also been gilded in swags and is quite worn (they normally are). Probably Lower Silesian in origin. it stands 6 1/2 inches tall with a 3 1/4 inch bowl and a 3 1/2 inch foot. There is a small flake to the inside of the rim. else no chips or cracks or restoration.
