SOLD – Georgian OXO Engraved Facet Cut Wine Glass c1780

Description

A Georgian facet cut wine glass c1780. The round funnel bowl has classic OXO engraving around the rim. This is a quite typical neo-classical pattern used from c.1760 to 1790 and beyond. The small lenses are cut and polishes. the small “stars” set between are matt.  It has a diamond facet cut stem with conical foot and polished pontil.

English lead. no chips cracks or restoration. it measures 4 15/16 inches tall with a 2 ¼ inch bowl and 2 ½ inch foot.
