Description
A Georgian facet cut wine glass with an engraved ovoid bowl which dates to circa 1780.
The rim of the bowl has a cut and polished OXO band. The body of the bowl has three cut and polished flowers. The base of the bowl has slice cuts that adjoin the stem. This in turn has hexagonal facet cuts. Conical foot. snapped pontil. It stands 5 1/2 inches tall with a 2 inch bowl and a 2 3/4 inch foot. English lead. no chips. cracks. We would say that a section of the foot has had a polished at some point in the past.
