In the definitive tome on the subject of Jacobite wine glasses Geoffrey Seddon mentions several other flowers used in conjunction with Jacobite wine glasses. Sunflowers. Carnations. Daffodils. Honeysuckle and Forgt-me-nots. Roses are the most common of all in conjunction with one closed bud or an open and closed bud. Passionflowers are frequently given Jacobite attribution but they are  a widely used symbol within Roman Catholicism.  The ten petals representing the apostles who fled. the five anthers symbolic of the five sacred wounds and the stigma the stigmata of Christ himself. hence the name passionflower. When in conjunction with the Latin text version of the Greek christogram IHS ( iota-eta-sigma) nobody can be left in any doubt as to it’s true meaning.
