This was never made to deceive. it is way too large and the engraving tools used are modern. Thus it cannot be considered a forgery. It is simply a homage to Jacobite glasses. a piece of vitreous frivolity.
This also dispels the myth about the techniques required to manufacture an opaque twist being a lost art. Twist gklass stems simply became unfashionable and we made in reduced quantities. The requisite skills were never lost. just little used.
