Description
An exceptionally rare Georgian Jacobite engraved air twist wine glass c1750. The round funnel bowl has been engraved with the Jacobite rose. an open bud. a closed bud. four leaves. ‘Redeat’. an oak leaf and a “kissing” star. Sits on a double knopped multi spiral air twist stem above a conical foot with snapped pontil.
English lead. no chips cracks or restoration. it measures 6 ¾ inches tall with a 2 13/16 inch bowl and 2 15/16 inch foot.
