Description
A fine Georgian Newcastle Light Baluster c1740 which has a pointed round funnel bowl engraved with a continuous band of daisies and acanthus leaves with polished detailing. It sits on a superb triple swelling knop stem above a domed foot.
English lead. no chips cracks or restoration. it measures 7 ½ inches tall with a 3 inch bowl and 3 3/16 inch foot.

This glass is from the famous John Towse collection who passed away in autumn of 2005. His collection was sold in two parts. by Christie’s in 1982 and a further sale containing some fantastic cordials by Delosmosne & Sons in 1997.
