It is very common for such glasses to have polished feet. The vast majority have been polished to remove chips at one time or another. We have seen two glasses recently that were in the Krug collection and are well documented. In the intervening years one has lost 1/4 inch in height but was still being sold with "no chips cracks or retsoration".
