Pair Georgian Opaque Twist Wine Glasses c1780

In absolutely immaculate condition. from an outstanding West Sussex collection. They have narrow ogee bowls above stems with a pair of spiral threads outside a multi-py corkscrew. quite an unusual “twist”. Conical feet. snapped pontils.

They stand 5 3/8ths tall with 2 3/8th bowls and 2 7/8th inch feet. Immaculate . so not a chip a fleabite. nor a nibble. There is wear to the wear rim on the feet. a feature we all like to see.
