To restore or not to restore. that is the question. The foot is very large and if polished would lose 6mm in total from the diameter and it would still be 2cms larger than the bowl. Artificial wear could be applied and the restoration would be very difficult to detect. A second option would be to have the chip filled with resin. this is more obvious but the glass will maintain its integrity. this would be our choice if it were to be restored as it cannot be obfuscated.
Finally there is the option to do nothing at all and to sell a glass with a chip. This makes no commercial sense whatsoever but all options remain open to the buyer
